Patton's BODI RS Routers Answer the Call for Efficiency in Communications

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

The all-IP trend is continuing throughout the corporate environment, creating opportunity and demand for VoIP router providers. Patton (News - Alert), a family-owned provider of electronics, has engineered multi-channel, load-sharing VoIP routers that put the fastest WAN Internet in the hands of its users.

While the company has a strong presence in the industry with its VoIP routers, Patton also brings performance to non-VoIP environments. Patton recently introduced the BODi rS VPN router series, one that is already proving popular with companies seeing increased worker productivity.

Routers, like those engineered by Patton, use WAN optimization to work with seven wired and wireless links, which offers great control over efficient, fat-pipe bandwidth. One of the benefits of Patton and its BODi rS family is its capability to offer great load balance control for both mobile and fixed platforms from small to large.

Take the BD007, for example –routers like this one can achieve WAN optimization control with automatic failover. The engineering in these routers make the most out of an employee’s time on the clock with excellent response time. Companies today are looking for a multi-WAN experience that delivers excellent load balancing algorithms and failover performance during the busiest hours on the Internet.

BODi answers this call with several 3G/4G/LTE (News - Alert), VSAT and Wi-Fi/WiMAX routers that are not going to break the bank or put too much strain on the corporate budget. In fact, more companies today are saving untold amounts of money on travel expenses by taking on routers that help deliver crisp, fast, and audible videoconferencing

Employees are also achieving better productivity outcomes through BODi’s link prioritizing and the bandwidth control capabilities in Patton’s routers. Instead of waiting in line at airport terminals and spending hours in the air and significant financial resources, employees are using the services they need utilizing routers like those provided by Patton to take care of critical business processes, from manufacturing to banking.

BODi’s routers can create what is known as a virtual leased line that can be used in any industry in any environment, from busses on highways to ships on oceans to power plants and office buildings. By connecting with existing T1/E1, DSL or cable connections, the routers bring the wired world to those who need it. If links begin to fail, BODi is prepared with an automatic re-route built into the routers.

“Efficient, reliable Internet service is crucial for forward thinking business people," said Brian Lawlor, BODi Product Manager, in a company statement. "They recognize the importance of optimized, multi-path internet access. By offering multi-WAN load-balancing for high-speed, low-cost, survivable Internet, BODi helps businesses."

Today’s enterprises can’t afford downtime, slow connection speeds or the wait for pages to load. They need service that is both efficient and reliable. Taking on routers and VoIP routers that can process the sensitive information that every company has is vitally important to the success and future of that company. Patton’s load-balancing routers offer the WAN optimization that can deliver on promises of increased productivity that companies can take to the bank.
