Ooma Inc., a company offering HD-quality free home phone service, has unveiled new Ooma HD2 Handset and Ooma Linx remote phone jack. These two products complement the Ooma Telo, a home phone that offers U.S. calling for free using a high-speed Internet connection.
The new Ooma HD2 Handset can be used with Ooma Telo as a combination that offers HD Voice call clarity. The HD2 Handset comes with a two-inch color screen and speakerphone that enables users to see the picture of a caller in his or her contact list when the phone rings.
The picture feature is enabled by importing pictures from Facebook, Google, Yahoo, LinkedIn (News - Alert), Outlook and Mac AddressBook.
In addition, the HD2 Handset offers one-touch voicemail access which enables users to check messages anywhere in the home, along with the support of an intercom to talk between handsets or transfer calls.
This handy set can also be used as a baby monitor!
Users can switch to Ooma Linx to wirelessly connect phones, fax machines or other telephony devices around the home to the Ooma Telo using the latest DECT (News - Alert) technology. Individuals even have the option to install their main phone anywhere in the home if the Ooma Telo is installed in a remote area.
“The Ooma HD2 Handset and Ooma Linx address two important needs expressed by our customers – the ability to blend the smartphone and home phone experience, and the wireless freedom to connect telephony devices to the Ooma Telo,” said Dennis Peng (News - Alert), vice president of Product Management at Ooma. “These new technologies are prime examples of our dedication to delivering the most complete and affordable home phone solution for our customers.”
The new Ooma HD2 Handset has an MSRP of $59.99 and the new Ooma Linx, at $49.99, is available at http://www.ooma.com and at select retailers.
