When it comes to emerging markets and explosive business growth opportunities, EMEA region easily beats any other. With an eye on the lucrative markets in the region,   Honeywell (News - Alert) Sensing and Control (S&C) decided to further strengthen its top management by roping in Remi Volpe to lead its Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) operations as the company’s new Vice President-General Manager, EMEA.

Honeywell Sensing and Control is a provider of custom-engineered, sensors, switches, machine safeguarding and other devices that offer enhanced precision, repeatability and durability to a variety of original equipment manufacturing applications across the medical, industrial, transportation, aerospace, and test and measurement segments.

Volpe, who boasts more than 20 years of Honeywell experience, is expected to enable the company to meet its EMEA business goals. In his new role, Volpe will be responsible for driving continued growth in the region.

Prior to joining S&C, Volpe served as the EMEA Marketing Director-buildings and CentraLine business leader for Honeywell’s Environmental & Combustion Controls (ECC) business. He is based in Rolle, Switzerland.

“S&C continues to invest in industry-leading new products and platforms, so one of our first initiatives will be to help support these new technologies with increased application engineering, marketing and sales efforts in EMEA. We have an exciting product portfolio which forms the basis to continue to provide great value to our customers,” Volpe said in a statement.

Reportedly in the upcoming days, Honeywell S&C is all set for a slew of activities. In order to take the advantage of the region’s growth opportunities, the company will invest in human resource and continue to expand its sales, marketing and engineering workforce throughout the region. Also on the agenda is an aggressive schedule of new product releases and a focus on key industrial, medical, transportation and military/aerospace customers.

President of Honeywell S&C Tony Sugalski said that with his strong industry knowledge, Volpe is prepared to provide the right direction to the company so that it is able to expand and retain customers in the region.

“EMEA is an important region for Honeywell S&C, and what happens here has a global impact. I am confident that Remi is well-prepared to provide the ongoing leadership we need in EMEA, and to grow our business with current and new customers,” Tony Sugalski said in a statement.

Recently, Honeywell, the parent company of Honeywell S&C, unveiled its first enterprise digital assistant with an Android (News - Alert) operating system, offering mobile workers a device with the same platform that many use in their personal lives.

In related news, Patton (News - Alert) Electronics, an esteemed provider of VoIP routers, gateways and Ethernet Extenders, recently revealed its revolutionary ‘futurized’ new generation line of IPv6-ready SmartNode SIP-trunking Media Gateways, which will help enterprises, SMBs and carrier-providers seamlessly transition to the next-generation of Internet connection, IPv6. This new series of VoIP media gateways will offer users unmatched scalability and survivability, as well as protect against obsolescence when IPv6 goes global. Boasting richer, more valuable features at a significantly lower cost, Patton’s new generation of SIP-trunking media gateways will prove very advantageous.
