PathSolutions, a provider of network performance management solutions, debuted a new versions of its VoIP and network performance management solutions – namely the VoIP Network Performance Manager 4.3 and Network Performance Manager 4.3.
Tim Titus, CTO at PathSolutions said, “The features supported in our latest release make monitoring and managing VoIP and data networks even easier. This helps to reduce the time and resources spent on network troubleshooting, a critical cost containment area for IT departments operating under tight budgets and limited resources.”
The new versions will help the company support the monitoring of Power over Ethernet (PoE) status and usage, while providing new port-mapping capabilities and call simulation features. PathSolutions strives to deliver optimized network performance management solutions capable of providing total visibility.
The visibility covers individual link, router and switch-level components, while encompassing the entire network infrastructure covering multiple locations situated globally.
“For example, while the benefits of PoE are substantial—in terms of cost savings, ease of deployment, improved energy efficiencies, and reliability—until now there has been no automated way to monitor and manage the power status and usage of PoE switches,” Titus added.
The new release is capable of supporting full PoE monitoring at the device and port levels in order to facilitate the identification, management and monitoring of high-power drawing devices, so that troubleshooting power faults can be done proactively before a major problem occurs.
Customers and prospects will benefit a lot from this release, according to Titus.
PathSolutions’ automated network performance management solutions enable rapid troubleshooting and resolution of VDI, VoIP, video and data quality issues. The company’s Total Network Visibility philosophy enhances performance monitoring and optimization for IP networks.
This includes the continuous monitoring of the state of the network, and locating network performance issues, their cause and resolution. As customers resolve all performance issues in less time, productivity and efficiency improve significantly.
In August 2012, PathSolutions became part of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. Members of this prestigious group work together alongside VMware with the goal of developing solutions that will enable companies to adopt virtualization and cloud computing.
