MegaPath Corporation announced on Tuesday that it was recognized at the recent Telecom Association (News - Alert) Partner Choice Awards in 10 different categories for 2012. The company received first place in the Ethernet over Copper (EoC), Hosting and Colocation categories.
It also was a Top 5 performer in four categories, and Top 10 performer in three.
Based in Pleasanton, CA, MegaPath provides a number of solutions related to communications and networking. The present incarnation of the company was formed in 2010 when Covad (News - Alert) Communications, SpeakEasy and MegaPath (formerly an expert in Multiprotocol Label Switching [MPLS] technology) joined to form the new MegaPath.
Voice services including VoIP, SIP and PRI trunking; broadband data solutions; network security; IT services hosted in the cloud; and a privately managed MPLS network comprise most of the company's offerings.
The Telecom Association (TA) was founded in 1998 and is based in Lake Elsinore, CA, consisting of vendors that provide solutions in the fields of telecom, data and technology. Award winners are selected on a merit-based system that examines sales volume, subject matter opinion and a TA review score from over 3,800 members.
Paid (News - Alert) TA vendors that win a first-place award in a given category – or receive Top 5 or Top 10 recognition – can display the association's logos for these honors on their website or in promotional material.
As a provider of the largest EoC network in the U.S., MegaPath can provide affordable network solutions. The company's Hosted Voice solution won the 2012 Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Award.
Hosted Voice is a VoIP service consisting of broadband, local and long-distance phone services and PBX, and can be configured from any Internet-enabled computer or smartphone. It has features like Find Me/Follow Me, which forward office calls to mobile phones or other numbers that the user configures, reducing phone tag (News - Alert) aggravation. It also has a configuration portal for managing settings, and allows users out of the office to make calls from a computer while displaying their office phone number as the caller ID.
Recorded voicemails are also transcribed and e-mailed to the recipient.
The superiority of MegaPath’s solutions is undeniable, given the feedback from industry peers and awards from multiple organizations. A look at the Hosted Voice solution alone, which has so many impressive features and spares organizations from having to maintain their own PBX system, shows that the company is the real deal, providing the latest in the industry.
