Zoiper is now officially the world’s first multiprotocol softphone on Windows Phone (News - Alert) 8. The announcement was at the World Mobile Congress 2014, which took place February 24-27, followed by a widespread announcement on social media networks. Zoiper is one of the most appreciated softphones in the market and is on a significant growth path projected to record a 300 percent in the second quarter of 2014, based on the company’s previous performances. The launch of Zoiper for Windows Phone 8 completes Zoiper’s extensive coverage across all operating systems.
Mira Georgieva, director of sales at Zoiper, said, “Our clients were eager to introduce it to their businesses and to their customers wherefore Zoiper for WP8 has already been customized for a number of them. We also already distributed several SDKs. Zoiper logically followed the lead of our technology partners.”
Zoiper has been engaged in the development of softphones for Windows Phone 8 for more than a decade now. The resultant app from this development phase is a power-packed solution encompassing all the required features for both enterprise users as well as for end users. The features include voice calls, SMS, Instant Messaging, push notifications, and contact list integration. The Zoiper app for Windows Phone 8 will be loaded with additional features such as conference calls, call transfers, and call recording in line with the features available in other Zoiper solutions.
