Inaugural conference grabs media, attendee attention with high-caliber content and demonstrations of what’s new and what’s next in wearable technology

Norwalk, Conn. – July 30, 2013 – TMC today announced the successful wrap-up of the Wearable Tech Expo, which achieved sold-out attendance and highlighted the key technologies and products that are driving this market. Keynote speakers from companies including Adidas, Artefact, Plantronics and Vuzix provided attendees tremendous insight into the present and future of wearable technology. Speakers across multiple industries shared their insight into how wearables are changing the market landscape dramatically. Wearable Tech Expo will next convene in Los Angeles on Dec. 10-11, 2013, and will return to New York in July 2014.

A main highlight of the event was the Demo Forum – featuring the newest devices and gadgets that are taking the industry by storm – which provided attendees with the opportunity to see the different types of wearable technologies that are making their way into the mainstream. From consumer to enterprise, health to virtual reality, companies across several vertical markets showed off the gear to attendees and judges, with awards going to:

Attendees were able to see and touch Google Glass up close and personal, and learn details of its capabilities – as well as those of other “augmented reality” products and technologies. A developer-focused panel featuring speakers from Silica Labs and dSKY9.com, among others, provided a detailed insider perspective on the current state of Google Glass.
