You can say what you want about wearable technology, but they are aiming higher than ever. We know that there are great uses for 3D printing technology here on earth. Probably the first that anybody really heard about this was when someone printed a plastic gun that was capable of actually shooting bullets. Fortunately, this quickly led to finding better uses especially in the medical field. It seems that this is a technology that is really taking off, NASA is now using 3D printing to help design its newest version of the space suit.

We have all heard rumors for years about a possible iWatch. We took notice every time that Apple (News - Alert) filed a new smartwatch related patent. Well, last week it became a reality, but keep in mind that unlike the iPad that did not really have any competition when it first appeared; there are quite a few smartwatches already on the market. What is Apple to do? How about going straight to celebrity endorsements?

I am sure that everyone has pondered the question of what came first, the egg or the chicken. At some point everyone should ponder this question. Here is a technological question that can also be pondered, what is more important the device or the app? Appmethod is a development company that feels the latter takes the cake because it can be used to make sure that all the devices play nice together.

When I hear the name Jabra (News - Alert), I think about the first Bluetooth headset I ever owned. Although that was quite a while back, I still associate the two. The Jabra Sport Pulse wireless earbuds are a compact pair of in-ear headphones that sit securely and pair with your smartphone. On top of that, in conjunction with a smartphone app, it also tracks your workout and coaches you through it.

One thing that I have noticed is that regardless of technology, regardless of whether we are talking about wearables, mobile commerce or M2M devices the one word that is constantly on everyone’s mind is security. As more and more devices connect, communicate and interact with each other, the more possibilities for breaches arise. Just how safe is that smartwatch on your wrist?

These are just of few of the stories that we have looked at this week. You should read the details of all of these stories, as well as find out what else is happening in the world of wearable technology. Go to Wearable Tech World and see what has been going on.
