Westin Hotels & Resorts has decided to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the iconic Heavenly Bed with the introduction of new sleep technology at select Westin locations. Throughout the month of November, guests at participating facilities are invited to try the Lark Up Sleep Monitor, Silent Alarm Clock, and Personal Sleep Coach during their stay. This wearable technology was created to help users achieve optimal sleep and coincide with Westin’s dedication to a great night’s sleep.
Lark Technologies, founded in 2010, is a consumer electronics company that creates electronics for wearable wellness. Founder, Julia Hu, has joined Westin Hotel’s Well-Being Council. She will lead the brand’s Sleep Well pillar, one of the six pillars in Westin’s Well-Being Movement.
Julia Hu stresses the importance of sleep in her statement regarding the collaboration of the two companies. “Sleeping better, as a part of getting fitter and stressing less, has been a big focus of mine and the Lark Health Committee,” stated Hu, “Our world-class Health Committee has been working closely with our product team to design our product experiences, and we are now excited to be a part of the Westin Sleep Well campaign, so that guests have the opportunity to start the day off right, happier and healthier.”
Westin strives to be on the front lines of wellness technology in order to create the most beneficial stay for its guests. Lark Technology offers better sleep, sleep cycle tracking, and virtual coaching. Lark uses a scientific sleep monitor that through the use of an expert-based app, users can review their sleep in the morning and track their sleep improvements over time.
The technology pinpoints what is causing poor sleep habits and relays this information to users. Westin guests will be given the opportunity to review advanced data visualizations of their sleep patterns, hopefully solving problem areas altogether. Westin has always been a brand committed to sleep, known for offering the ‘best sleep while on the road’, and will continue expanding this reputation with this innovative technology.
