PGi, a global provider of Web conferencing and collaboration solutions, has launched the latest release of its Agenday calendar app, which includes a few new features as well as a smartwatch app. This release solidifies the app as an essential tool for professionals looking to easily manage meetings, Web conferences and the myriad other time commitments that make up each day.

Agenday combines a user’s calendars, contacts and location to clearly display all of the user’s meetings in a unified interface with quick access to conference calls and many other convenient functions. In addition to helping make sure the user is on time to a meeting, the app provides access to the LinkedIn (News - Alert) profiles of its attendees, automatic turn-by-turn directions to its location and one-touch messaging to attendees if something goes awry. By remembering the user’s information, security codes are avoided and web conferences can be joined quickly. Agenday will automatically connect using the lowest-cost dialing option.

The smartwatch release of Agenday enhances its functionality by taking advantage of the convenience offered by wearable technology. The Meetings Watchface provides an at-a-glance view of when a user has scheduled meetings or free time, whereas the Weather Watchface displays the current time and weather conditions. The Running Late feature reappears on the smartwatch and lets the user send a preselected message to meeting attendees. The Agenday smartwatch app can also be used to join iMeet and GlobalMeet (two other offerings from PGi) sessions as well as join or initiate a conference call.

The latest Agenday release adds the Free/Busy Polling feature to enable efficient meeting orchestration. A user must simply send out a Free/Busy Poll with their available dates and times, invitees respond through the channel they choose with their availability, and the original user clicks to schedule the meeting at an opportune time. Instead of using the poll function, users can also view others’ individual availability at any time.

PGi also added free SalesForce integration, which connects users’ calendars with the sales call logs and contacts in a SalesForce account. Although Agenday and this integration service is free, a SalesForce Premium account is required.

“The features in this Agenday release were inspired by our busiest users— from CEOs to salespeople—who need to work smarter, faster,” said David Guthrie, CTO of PGi. “By extending Agenday's value to the smartwatch and adding intelligent, user-centric features like Free/Busy Polling, the PGi Innovation Lab has once again delivered on our promise to empower businesses and workers with the solutions they need to drive better collaboration for better results.”

The Agenday is available for smartphones running the Android (News - Alert) and iOS operating systems and smartwatches running a variant of the Android operating system in coordination with a smartphone.
