Recently, Electric Lightwave was purchased by Zayo in what amounted to be a $1.4billion deal. As a result, Electric Lightwave’s infrastructure businesses will join Zayo’s Network Connectivity and Dark Fiber units; the communications business will integrate into Zayo’s SME and voice businesses; and layoffs, unfortunately.
