Monday, November 11 marks the open of SC18 at the Key Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The premier network international event is a prominent stage for advances in the computing, networking, storage and more.
Ciena is joining the festivities at SC18, running from November 11-16, participating in a number of demonstrations and putting the adaptive future of the network on display.
Demonstrations will put the Blue Planet portfolio on display, including its micro-services-based architecture, intelligent automation platform, as well as Blue Planet Manage, Control and Plan. Attendees will also get a firsthand look at Ciena’s Liquid Spectrum (News - Alert), 8180 Coherent Networking Platform and 6500 Reconfigurable Line System – showing off a bit of the optical networking firm’s knowhow.
In addition, Ciena will be joining the workshop, “Innovating the Network for Data Intensive Science (INDIS) on Monday, November 11. In conjunction with the University of Amsterdam, SURFnet, Monclair State University and Renaissance Computing Institute, Ciena will explore the challenges and ideas pushing network research, offering insight to developing the next generation of networking solutions.
Ciena developed the framework for what we refer to as adaptive networking, creating a robust portfolio fit to deliver network operators and service providers with all the tools required to meet the demands of the digital age and then some.
