The most important position in football may very well be quarterback, but without an offensive line blocking, there is little hope for productivity. The great QBs are able to overcome some of the vulnerabilities of a poor squad, but at the end of the day, it takes a team effort to win the game. The same can be said in business, as partners make so much possible.
Ciena announced a new and improved Ciena Partner Network (CPN). Recognizing the need to evolve from a one-size-fits-all approach, the adaptive networking pioneer will take a more personalized and collaborative approach to better adjust to the fluid demands of the modern IT landscape.
Like the tools it offers, Ciena’s CPN program is built to scale with an emerging market aiding partners every step of the way with vision, expertise and guidance to ensure best practice and expected results. In addition, training and certification from Ciena’s Partner Academy delivers partners hands on training from Ciena experts to provide the sales and technical understanding to best utilize the portfolio.
“Ciena has always been a collaborative partner and industry leader. The CPN program takes this up a level because it recognizes our own company’s unique business model. Partnering with Ciena allows us to deliver an industry leading innovative and trusted solution portfolio to our customers, while the additional enablement tools will allow us to address joint business planning – identifying new markets and solution/service sets and marketing new high impact and differentiated services,” explained John Nishimoto, Vice President of Products and Marketing, Windstream (News - Alert).
CPN members gain access to Solution Enablement Toolkits (SETs), which offer sales, marketing aand services development resources that empower partners to develop specialized Ethernet and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) offerings.
The member list includes firms like Zayo, Windstream, Anycomm, CenturyLink, Comcast (News - Alert), LightRiver, Kapsch and more. Ciena plans to see the CPN surpass 200 highly specialized, highly qualified partners in the coming months.
“Our new partner program complements our Adaptive Network approach to help Ciena clients and partners adapt to changing market conditions. By moving away from the traditional program structure to a more collaborative, personalized and empowering approach, our CPN program delivers unprecedented flexibility and customization that harnesses the unique value of each partner,” noted Sandra Glaser Cheek, Vice President, Global Partners and Alliances at Ciena.
Ciena sees the future of networking as a team game, seeking to empower partners with the tools and resources required to succeed in the digital era.
