High performance fiber optic networks provider FiberLight (News - Alert), LLC, has secured a contract with one of the nation’s biggest wireless providers to build over 40 new towers in the Tampa metro area in the great state of Florida. According to FiberLight, the project includes over 50 new route miles throughout the sunny city, expanding existing infrastructure to almost 300 route miles and over 100 unique laterals when the network is complete. FiberLight said it will deliver Ethernet connectivity directly to each tower and the serving MSC (News - Alert) in Tampa.

FiberLight’s networks typically reach farther within the metro area and have more fiber strands available, allowing the company to uniquely deliver custom network designs that ensure optimal performance on the network.
Over the past 12 months, the company has maintained an average core network performance exceeding 99.999 percent availability, boasting the functionality needed to deliver new network infrastructure up to and including 40 Gig transport services.
