DX-924U-ARO, a 3G enabled wireless broadband router for SMBs, has been unveiled by Dax Networks, with a maximum bandwidth of 150 mbps.
Officials with Dax Networks said that DX-924U-ARO comes with the latest IEEE (News - Alert) 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless standards. Additionally, the router supports various wireless standards in 3G such as external HSxPA (High Speed Xlink Packet Access), EVDO (Evolution-Data Optimized), TD-WCDMA (Time Division-Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) and 3G modem through the USB port. DX-924U-ARO also supports additional 10/100 WAN (Wide Area Network) ports.
Company officials pointed out that in case of failover in the WAN port, 3G automatically becomes active with auto failover function. With this feature, the backup link can be initiated automatically when the primary link fails.
According to company officials, the router is integrated with Network Address Advisor (NAT), which enables the user to use single IP for accessing Internet. DX-924U-ARO also supports various routing protocols such as Static IP, Dynamic IP, PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol), L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol), PPPoE (Point-to-point protocol over Ethernet) and 3G.
Besides this, with security features like Firewall and DOS, DX-924U-ARO also supports various powerful security technologies like WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), Pre Shared Key WPA/ WPA2, and MAC (Media Access Control) filtering. The WPS (Web Processing Service) button in the router helps users activate the security features. Moreover, DX-924U-ARO supports Web-based GUI (Graphical User Interface) for configuration and firmware upgrades, both saving and restoring settings to flash memory. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support in the router works to help users manage the router through the management tool.
Earlier in April, Dax Networks, one of India’s Networking companies, had announced that it has successfully completed networking customer service centres across Kerala for Kalyan Jewellers, one of the leading jewellery groups in Kerala in India.
Dax has implemented a secured Wide Area Network (WAN) solution based on virtual private network (VPN). This solution is designed to help Kalyan Jewellers reduce transaction time at every branch office while enabling faster delivery of gold services.
