Mobile Mark (News - Alert) asserted that its multiband antenna offerings are capable of delivering the wireless coverage demanded by public safety and government services. Its antennas are available in two styles – the SWM Series, a rugged, surface mount mobile antenna and the CLP Series, a covert license plate frame mobile antenna. They are both capable of combining UHF and GPS with another wireless application.
According to the company, the SMW Series surface-mount mobile antennas can be installed to realize simultaneous operations on various wireless bands within one antenna. The antenna has three separate cable feeds for GPS, UHF and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, while the UHF version has a range of 450-470 MHz range.
Officials with the company commented, “The SMW Series antennas have been very popular for both Commercial and Public Safety Fleet Management applications. The Public Safety community asked us to add a UHF element and we are pleased to be able to introduce the SMW-310 Series." A typical SMW-310 installation combines GPS for positioning, WiFi (News - Alert) for Video Surveillance and UHF for voice and mobile data communications.”
The company explained that the new CLP Series license plate frame antenna accommodates multiple antennas in one package and its patented design features antenna elements that are actually hidden away inside the license plate frame. The antennas have the provisions to be mounted on either the front or rear of a vehicle. For states where license plate lighting is required, an LED lighting module can be added to the frame. This lighting option is available for any of the GPS, Cellular & Wi-Fi antenna combinations.
Also with the addition of a UHF module, the CLP Series is designed specifically for public safety users. All three applications – UHF, Cellular & GPS, are accommodated in the same enclosure.
