Unity Spiritual Center recently announced that it has deployed Airband’s hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) and high-speed Internet access to enhance its technology capabilities and to address its growing bandwidth requirements. Leveraging Airband’s fixed-wireless data services, Unity will now be able to stream live its weekly services and classes in HD quality to its congregation across both the U.S. and Canada. After careful deliberation, Unity opted to deploy Airband's fixed-wireless data services based on benefits such as scalable voice and data services delivery as a single-provider solution.
In a release, Rev. James Yeaw, minister at Unity Spiritual Center, said, “Airband offered the quality of technology we needed to reach our remote members effectively, and their Internet connectivity is four times faster than what the phone company can provide, which was the main factor in our decision-making process. We spent a very challenging year with our previous Internet provider and had to make a change because traditional phone lines couldn’t give us the bandwidth to broadcast high-definition video, so we’re pleased to have found Airband.”
The deployment of Airband’s hosted voice and high-speed data services has provided Unity with a number of benefits. The spiritual center went ahead with the installation of a new alarm system which can be easily monitored and controlled through the VoIP system via the Internet.
Unity now offers its remotely located members and congregation with more than six months of services, classes, and seminars which are available online. Thanks to Airband’s high-speed streaming capabilities, the spiritual center’s facility is being noticed by national organizations which include Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment), and The Institute of Noetic Sciences, among others.
Airband’s solutions are used extensively within the markets of Atlanta; Austin; Baltimore; Dallas; Des Moines; Fort Lauderdale; Fort Worth; Houston; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Miami; Orange (News - Alert) County, Calif.; Philadelphia; Phoenix; San Antonio; San Diego and Washington, D.C.
