The FSP 3000 from Adva Optical Networking is a scalable optical transport solution created to respond to the increasing bandwidth demands. The modular design of the company’s FSP 3000 ensures the networks are built on a flexible WDM foundation, whether the user is a service provider or an enterprise. The company’s FSP 3000 represents Optical+Ethernet provisioning for seamless end-to-end connectivity from the access to the metro and on to long haul.

Recently, the company announced that Bluebird Network deployed the ADVA (News - Alert) FSP 3000 for a government-stimulus-funded project that will facilitate the extension of broadband services to underserved regions in Missouri.

For multiplexing, transporting and protecting, Bluebird Network’s array of high-speed data, storage, voice and video traffic, the ADVA FSP 3000 supports up to 40 100Gbit/s safe and dependable wavelengths.

Apart from a $10.5 million in-kind contribution from the state of Missouri, as well as private investors, Bluebird’s Missouri Ultra-High Capacity Middle Mile Project is supported by a $45 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant from the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

"Throughout the United States, we're working with companies that are helping to bridge the digital divide, companies that are driving connectivity and innovation to the underserved. Bluebird Network understands what's at stake here and the impact broadband connectivity can have on businesses, communities and individuals. Its network is a clear testament to what we can achieve,” added John Scherzinger, senior vice president of sales at ADVA Optical Networking (News - Alert),

Recently, the company announced that it installed the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology for inexio. inexio has successfully increased its telecommunications backbone’s transmission capacity by deploying this ADVA FSP 3000 platform based technology.
