Novatel Wireless (News - Alert), Inc., a company that specializes in the design and development of intelligent wireless solutions based on 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, has announced new MiFi Next Generation device, which is backed with Novatel Wireless' extensive portfolio of MiFi related patents.
The newly introduced next-generation MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot is a feature rich mobile that boosts new user interface based on a 2.8" multi-touch interactive color display, letting users control the MiFi device with the touch of a finger. It has a beautiful design, which features a minimalist style and a vibrant color screen.
MiFi 2 utilizes the Novatel Wireless' MiFi technologies and performance specifications that enhance key performance indicators for users. By advancing the technology at the core of the MiFi architecture, MiFi 2 authorizes users with up to 11 hours of usage time, even while streaming live video, according to the company.
Novatel Wireless has incorporated a power management conscious embedded agent in the MiFi 2 that automatically enhances the user experience and extends battery life. As a result, users can go a full business day without having to worry about recharging.
Officials at Novatel Wireless said that their MiFi patent portfolio includes intellectual property rights based on simplicity of the user experience, device intelligence and connectivity and innovative industrial design.

"MiFi 2 is a great illustration of our perpetual commitment to provide the best-in-class user experience, superior performance, advanced security and our dedication to keep bringing innovation to the wireless industry," Dr. Souissi continued.
The company has also emphasized on key elements of the MiFi user experience, such as automatically establishing a data connection with the push of a power button. They also cover core MiFi technology, such as multi-mode functionality of modems - a patent Novatel Wireless announced in July 2012 focused on wide-area and local area gateway operation.
Novatel Wireless has till date won 54 issued or allowed U.S. patents and an additional 58 U.S. patent applications in process, some of which it holds or has filed for in additional patent jurisdictions as well.
