Ixia (News
- Alert), specializing in converged IP testing, reportedly joined the Broadband Wireless Consortium of India (BWCI). Membership to this key broadband technology forum will enable Ixia to play a more significant part in the deployment of national wireless and wireline deployments.
As a member of BWCI, Ixia will be engaged in the activities relating to the development of broadband wireless access performance, standardization and deployment. The company will be collaborating with BWCI, a national forum for addressing many aspects of broadband wireless access by bringing together major stakeholders in the Indian telecom industry, to build up high-performing, stable and secure broadband wireless infrastructures in the country.
Throughout the world Ixia enables carriers to optimize 3G and 4G/LTE (News - Alert) infrastructures, enterprises to battle-test network and data center resiliency, governments to harden security and train cyber warriors, and equipment manufacturers to accelerate the creation of next-generation devices.
Ixia solutions can be utilized by the Indian telecom industry to validate and improve the performance of converged, wireless and wireline networks.
“BWCI provides a platform to bring organizations together which are critical to the building of a high-performing broadband wireless ecosystem in India. Ixia’s membership in BWCI brings a new dimension in exploring emerging wireless technologies and addressing their challenges,” chairman of BWCI and Honorary Director of CEWiT, Professor Bhaskar Ramamurthi, noted in a statement.
Earlier this year, Ixia unveiled a new data center and set of cloud network validation solutions focusing on all aspects of data center deployment and performance. New products for impairment, security, networking, application delivery and Wi-Fi were demonstrated in Ixia booth #1262 at Interop (News - Alert) 2012 in Las Vegas from May 8-10.
