The LRS415 family of radios from Freeways Technologies offers dependable, robust RF links for telemetry and SCADA networks internationally. The LRS415 covers the 406.1 to 430 MHz bands as the newest radio to FreeWave’s LRS radio line.
By minimizing the need for network infrastructure, the LRS415 supports data links of up to 70 miles line of sight, reducing network costs with a 2-watt transmitter and outstanding receiver sensitivity.
Recently, the company announced its LRS415 Series of narrowband, M2M wireless licensed radios. The new line of radios transmits on frequency bands between 406.1 MHz and 430 MHz.
They also bring together the performance of the company's two LRS400 radios into a single product.
The LRS415 aims at worldwide markets that allow for license, narrowband frequency ranges (typically 12.5kHz channels) between 406MHz and 430MHz. It also offers data rates of 19.2 kbps.
The LRS415 Series will debut in Canada and Mexico, and will soon be available for other international markets.
“The LRS415 series meets the needs of our international customers by giving them a solution that is not only reliable, but offers low power requirements and great line of sight capabilities," said Ashish Sharma, chief marketing officer, FreeWave Technologies. "The LRS415 greatly expands FreeWave's coverage of the 400MHz spectrum by operating from 406MHz to 430MHz with a single solution that combines the power of two LRS400 radios into one.”
Recently, the company unveiled FGR2-P, created as a board level version of its FGR2-PE Series of license-free, long-range wireless data radios. To support data communication over long distances, the newly debuted FGR2-P has been created with features including industrial serial and Ethernet wireless connectivity via a license-free spread spectrum.
The latest offering from FreeWave can easily integrate with the Rockwell Automation (News - Alert) family of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) solutions.
