DDS Wireless International Inc., a company offering application software for multiple vertical markets within the transportation industry, has won new contracts this year worth about $1.2 million altogether.
The company’s Taxi business unit, Digital Dispatch Systems, recently entered a new contract with a prestigious taxi company in California to deploy Vector 9000. According to recent reports, this contract is worth about $0.7 million.
In addition, the company has won other Taxi business unit contracts in British Columbia and continued purchases of EMV units in Alberta.
The parent company has also announced that this year they have upgraded more than 2,000 units to the Vector 9000 in the Greater LA and San Diego region, and their Transit business unit, StrataGen Systems Inc., has won new orders for its mobile computer, worth $0.4 million.
"We are very pleased that this long standing customer of 16 years and other marquee customers in the California region have elected to upgrade to our new products, the PathFinder dispatch software and the Vector 9000 mobile computers," stated Vari Ghai, CEO at DDS. "We are very encouraged with this continued trend of upgrades in our customer base."
DDS is putting in major efforts to expand the footprint for the Vector 9000 in key transit markets, and even expects that approximately $0.8 million of these contract signings will be recognized as revenue in fiscal 2012.
