Siklu Leads E-band Wireless Backhaul Market with its EtherHaul Radio SystemSiklu, a provider of wireless backhaul solutions, has tripled its revenue in 2012 thanks to its EtherHaul E-band radio system, which showed triple-digit percentage growth in 2012.

Siklu sold more than 5,000 EtherHaul units in 2012. The wireless backhaul provider also won several key service provider and operator contracts, along with steady growth in its private network sales. This includes scores of operator and enterprise networks in Europe and North America.

The EtherHaul E-band radio is the top choice of tier-1 operators for Gigabit backhaul worldwide.  Siklu has won half a dozen recent service provider contracts across Europe, from Russia to Ireland, according to Itzik Ben-Bassat, Siklu CEO.

Operating in the licensed E-band spectrum, Siklu's EtherHaul is ideal for shorter-distance, high-bandwidth connections. The technology has found faster adoption thanks to its innovative all-silicon design that enables a price point as low as one-third that of competitors' offerings, the company said.

With a total of more than 7,000 units deployed, Siklu now leads the industry offering a field-proven, highly reliable, carrier-grade technology. Currently, EtherHaul is short-listed in several other pending Tier 1 service provider contracts.

"As impressive as our sales figures and triple-digit growth may be, they don't tell the whole story," Ben-Bassat said. "We have also devoted great effort to be sure Siklu is well positioned for what we see as the E-band mass market inflection point, which we expect in 2013.”"As the proven price-performance leader, we have a full product offering,” Bassat added.

 “Along with our E-band, FDD and TDD (frequency division and time division duplexing), systems and antennas, Siklu offers the smallest form factor V-band products, leading the path to small cell backhaul deployments. We are essentially a one-stop millimeter wave shop."Siklu is exhibiting both EtherHaul-600 and its EtherHaul millimeter wave systems at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) February 25-28 in Barcelona.
