MTI (News - Alert) Wireless Edge Ltd announced that the company is currently involved in the mass production of its new 71-86GHz 44.5 dBi and 50.5 dBi dish antennas which belongs to a whole new product line of high performance low cost directional antennas covering the Point-to-Point 60/80GHz bands applications.
The newly released 80GHz antennas meet ETSI (News - Alert) Class 3 and FCC Electrical Masks, as well as ETSI Heavy Duty Environmental Standards including wind speed 70m/s (252Km/h).
Speaking on this occasion, Dov Feiner (News - Alert), CEO & president, MTI Wireless Edge Ltd., said that they are already shipping a high volume of 80GHz antennas to a few radio companies and to the best of their knowledge these are the only COTS antennas that meet such high standards.
Since its inception in 1972, MTI has been supplying antennas for both military and commercial applications from 100 KHz to 90 GHz. The company offers the most dynamic variety of off-the shelf and customized antennas range including sector, directional and Omni Directional antennas for all broad and narrow band wireless applications in both licensed and unlicensed bands.
MTI Military products include a wide range of broadband, tactical and specialized communications antennas, antenna systems and DF arrays installed on numerous airborne, ground and naval, including submarine, platforms worldwide.
The company officials confirmed that the company is taking part in MWC 2013 to display a variety of antennas including a large selection of single and dual polarity directional antennas with different gains for PtP wireless systems for backhaul applications including Small Cell Backhaul for 4G/LTE (News - Alert).
The company assures that all antennas are designed in such a way that it can withstand the toughest electrical and environmental requirements while maintaining low cost.
