Pose Becomes First Company to Offer Online POS Subscription for Free

The cloud-based POS solution company Pose announced today that it will offer its online POS service for free to all U.S.-based businesses. Previously costing $49 a month, the full-featured online POS resource will be offered for free and last forever. With the move, Pose becomes the first to provide its service for free in a competitive environment where pricing wars spread from cloud computing to storage and productivity tools. Pose is paving the way for other SMBs to take their business to the cloud, while maximizing revenues and profitability.

This offering from Pose is full of features, including an online cash register that helps small retailers hold real-time tabs on their business from any location at any time. Partnerships with select credit card transaction processors grants Pose the ability to offer some of industry's most competitive rates. While other online POS vendors charge north of Square's 2.75 percent transaction fee, Pose will only charge a transaction fee as low as 1.09 percent plus 10¢ per swipe. This bold move could help Pose leap ahead of competing online POS suppliers as the preferred solution for U.S. Businesses.

Pose's new pricing option comes with no strings attached, no long-term commitments or plans to cross-sell other relevant products or services to businesses. There are no stipulations or hidden fees based on inventory quantity, number of customers or transaction volume. There are several competing POS solutions that claim to provide a “free” version, but SMBs only receive a limited version of the software full of restrictions based on transaction volume and inventory volume among other things.

“We’re really pleased to be the first mover to democratize online POS for the millions of small and medium sized retailers out there seeking to bring the power of cloud computing to their stores. The reality is that vendors in our space have been living high on the hog charging SMBs for both usage of the product coupled with transaction fees that they also collect,” commented Dror Liwer, Pose’s CEO. “Pose wants to play fair, and we believe this is indeed a win-win for us and our SMB customers.”

Pose is privately owned company that provides a sweeping, cloud-based point-of-service (POS) solution for small-to-medium size retailers that are seeking a better alternative to increase business productivity. Pose stands apart from the competition in its ability to help merchants gain an advantage with cutting-edge functionality from loyalty and rewards to social media engagement and customer service. Different from older competitors whose dated technology is unable to readily support mobile, Pose was built from the ground up to utilize mobile technology. For more information, please visit
