As embedded technology improves, more wearable tech products are coming up. One such wearbale product that has created much impact among customers is smartwatch. Also, known as G watches, these watches are powered by Android (News - Alert) and come with many useful features.
Three companies are leading the way in smartwatches and they are Moto360, LG's G watch and Samsung (News - Alert) Gear Live. Out of the three, Moto360 was the crowd favorite during the Google's developer conference that took place in June of this year because of its stylish round design, as opposed to LG and Samsung which were square-shaped.
To counter Moto360, LG has come up with an updated version of smartwatch called LG G Watch R, where R is likely to stand for round. This new watch is expected to be released in Berlin next week in a move to take on Motorola (News - Alert)'s Moto360 smartwatch. This new watch will always be on so users can check the time and other information as and when they want without even touching it. Since this smartwatch is powered by Android, it can show information that users want even before they ask for it. With this watch, users can stay on top of weather forecasts, flight times or just about anything they want. To search for anything on the web, users simply have to say “Ok Google (News - Alert)” and they are connected.
To show the display at all times, this smartwatch is equipped with 400mAh battery that will keep the watch going all day with just a single charge. Its 1.65” IPS LCD makes it easy for users to view all the information they want with relative ease.
Users can learn more about the functionality of LG's new G watch R and have a look at its much-touted design next week.
