Software developer Infor has announced Infor Flex, a groundbreaking program that includes a package of software, services and financing. This program has been designed to give customers on maintenance a clear, fast and cost effective path to adopt Infor's latest product innovations.
The company is offering Infor Flex to qualifying customers with active maintenance agreements. Through this new program, Infor is providing customers with compelling, low-risk options to upgrade to the latest version of their existing Infor products. Customers can also decide to exchange to another Infor product, on a like-for-like basis.
Elaborating on the various benefits of the program, officials say that it minimizes license and/or transaction fees, and offers a fast, reduced-fee implementation methodology and incentive pricing on additional users, modules or complementary solutions.
Thanks to the new program, customers can easily leverage Infor’s innovative service-oriented architecture (SOA) capabilities through the Infor Open SOA framework, such as Infor MyDay and upcoming component applications.
Jim Schaper, chairman and CEO of Infor said that the company aims to deliver value together with innovation. This initiative also focuses on rewarding customers for their loyalty, and giving them ultimate choice and control over the future of their software.
"Infor is setting the new standard in the vendor-customer relationship, allowing customers to flexibly advance their software capabilities without disrupting their business or abandoning existing investments, Schaper said in a statement. “Our goal is to be their vendor of choice for a lifetime."
Infor notes two recent reports from Forrester Research (News - Alert) that cited updated key legacy applications as the most important enterprise software initiative for both enterprises and SMBs.
The company hopes that Infor Flex will be welcomed by Infor customers that are struggling to keep their heads above water in the existing economic environment. By providing them with strong incentives to upgrade their software, the program positions the customers for future business agility through Infor Open SOA when the economy looks up.Anuradha Shukla is a contributing editor for TMCnet.
