Alteva has launched a new Unified Communications (News - Alert)-as-a-Service (UCaaS) for law firms. The premier provider of hosted UCaaS solutions has engineered the new service specifically for the legal community. Now users will be able to maximize their productivity, increase efficiency, and enhance their mobility all within the new service.
The Philadelphia-based company has been providing telecommunication services since 1996, growing its employee base the most between 2007 and 2009. Alteva became standardized on a BroadSoft (News - Alert) switching platform, which helped to make it part of just a handful of other companies offering VoIP services globally. Since expanding, the company has seen an increase in demand for its UCaaS solutions in the law industry.
“We know law firms want to maximize their productivity and billable hours, and we’ve enabled their communications to do just that,” said Mike Timar, vice president of product management at Alteva (News - Alert). “With Alteva’s UCaaS solution, attorneys can seamlessly communicate with anyone, anywhere, with detailed tracking,” said Timar.
The new solution will enable a legal office to offer enhanced mobility, collaborate using both audio and web tools, automate reporting services to capture billing hours, and unify additional communications.
In a statement, Alteva said users can also expect HD Voice Hosted PBX (News - Alert), which will give users access to high quality phone services with billable hours reporting, including: Hosted Exchange, which brings together email and calendars on one shared service; Alteva Anywhere, which will block your personal caller ID allowing lawyers to make calls from any device; and even Legal Collaboration, which is an audio and web conferencing application.
"We came to Alteva with a very simple requirement, 'make it easier for us to conduct business,'" comments Michael R. McEvoy, managing partner at Harter Secrest & Emery. "We are very excited to learn that the Alteva UCaaS solution does exactly that and look forward to exploring its capabilities."
