Blueport Commerce Selects Radware's Alteon NG Solution
August 13, 2014
Radware (News - Alert), a provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, recently announced that its Alteon NG solution has been selected by Blueport Commerce, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) omnichannel solution for the furniture industry, to increase online sales and manage its ecommerce platform.
Alteon NG is an application delivery controller (ADC (News - Alert)) which provides advanced, end-to-end local and global load balancing capabilities for all Web, cloud and mobile based applications. The solution combines application delivery plus advanced services to companies with key application infrastructure challenges affecting web applications such as heavier, more complex web content; mobility and BYOD; and the migration to the cloud.
Radware claims that its solution leverages several next-generation services that are not available in any other ADC on the market, bundling FastView Web Performance Optimization (WPO), Application Performance Monitoring (APM (News - Alert)), AppWall Web Application Firewall (WAF), Authentication Gateway, Advanced Denial of Service (ADoS), ITM / bandwidth management as well as maximum SSL and compression capacities.
“For us to maintain our agility while keeping our IT infrastructure costs and footprint to a minimum, virtualization was our key focus,” says Fotios Magoufis, Director of IT Operations at Blueport Commerce, in a statement. “We had a strong desire to effectively separate traffic between all of our environments, implement software changes and test configuration settings without affecting the production environment. With Radware’s Alteon NG, this is all achievable.”
Recently, Brinkster, a leading provider of custom cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), also selected Alteon NG to provide its clients with an effective load balancing solution that ensures application SLA service and predictable performance.
Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, Brinkster services 50,000 customers in over 175 countries. As an IaaS company, Brinkster provides 24/7 load balancing capabilities for all web, cloud and mobile based applications - a key requirement for most of their clients.
