One of the most lucrative positions right now is a call center agent. Between Obamacare, which is the nickname for the president’s new healthcare reform, and businesses focusing on customer satisfaction, it seems that call centers are constantly hiring. Another retailer looking for more people is Kohl’s Department Stores.
The online and in-store retailer has become relatively popular, with locations popping up all over the world. If you have ever been in Kohl’s you know they carry everything from home goods, to clothes, and food. So, its no surprise that the company has been concerned with providing the proper amount of agents in their service centers.
The retailer announced it would like to hire an additional 500 people to work at their Wisconsin-based called center, which would increase the current staff by half. Kohls will be hiring 500 employees to for a variety of positions including: full time, part time, customer support for the website, agents for charge and collections, and an additional set of hires for seasonal help.
Kohl’s said it plans on filling these new positions throughout this month and next month.
This announcement comes less than two months after the retailer announced it would be opening a brand new call center in Dallas. The Dallas call center will open up with at least 300 employees to man the phones and customer support. Kohl said it plans to ramp up the overall workforce to total 1,500 employees over the next four years.
In a statement, Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, president and CEO said, “Exceptional customer service has always been a top priority for Kohl’s,” said Mansell. “The addition of our new facility and associates will continue to ensure Kohl’s delivers a seamless, positive shopping experience for our customers. We are pleased to expand our presence in Texas and in the Dallas area, which offers a positive environment for business and a robust workforce.”
