Supplier of fully compatible Microsoft (News - Alert)-based VoIP contact centers, phone systems and intelligent gateways, Altigen Communications recently announced that it has been chosen by Gibson Guitar to be deployed at their Nashville headquarters for integrating with the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.

Gibson Guitar is one of the first clients of Microsoft Office Communications Server application. Gibson had declared its plans to expand the technical capacities of all its contact centers, earlier this year. As part of this strategic growth initiative Altigen has been chosen for deployment in its contact centers, due to its capability to supply intelligent routing, supervision and call records updation. As an added feature, Altigen is also supplying an integrated and intelligent pathway to render accessibility for PSTN to both the contact center as well as the Office Communications Server.
Gibson Guitar is one of the world’s most popular vendors of musical instruments and musical technology. As such, it is the company’s primary objective to expect similar levels of technical superiority and technical excellence in their products and company infrastructure. Gibson also consistently chooses the best suited partner who in turn also enjoys considerable market dominance in their chosen field.
This motivated them to opt for Altigen when it came to looking for vendors who could provide a start to finish Microsoft based solution which could bring together the several points of communication within the company, according to the company.

Gibson Guitar has sated it believes that the choice made in favor of Altigen will help it maintain their competitive advantage in the industry and continue to enjoy its premier position in the market segment it operates.
Altigen has been a Microsoft loyalist from its very inception, having used Microsoft applications as platforms for all of their voice applications to date. Shirley Sun, vice president of research and development at Altigen, said: “With native integration, we are a complementary extension when companies choose to utilize Microsoft's unified communications solutions."
