Zoho's Improvements to Online Applications Include Hosted E-mail Upgrades

Zoho (News - Alert), a company specializing in helping people work online by providing them with a suite of online applications, recently released major enhancements to its Zoho CRM, Zoho Docs, Zoho Mail and Zoho Recruit platforms to further help improve the way people work online. The company has made upgrades to core functionality as well as integrations with other Zoho and third-party applications.
In a release, Raju Vegesna (News - Alert), Zoho evangelist said, “Zoho users have come to expect our online suite of collaboration, business and productivity applications to be deep as well as broad. Providing deep, rich functionality means paying attention to and acting on users’ feedback as well as market trends. As a result, we are constantly adding new features and integrations that push the limits of working online and improve the Zoho experience for our four million-plus users.”
Zoho CRM, the company’s affordable, on-demand CRM software, has gained several upgrades. Users can now add campaign members to marketing activities in order to better track marketing efforts; track customer support tickets; manage Zoho Projects and create portals, add projects and project users; create e-mail templates via WYSIWYG to simplify the creation of e-mail templates, eliminating the need to edit HTML code to add images.
Zoho’s online document management application, Zoho Docs has also been updated to support the iPad. Zoho Docs is now a global app that works on iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch as well as the iPad. Some of the new features include file viewing, file sharing, and retina display.
The company’s hosted e-mail for businesses, Zoho Mail also has updates. It now has a robust web UI – Zoho Mail gives users a variety of tools for organizing and accessing their e-mail, including folders, labels, flags, rules, filters, search, and instant chat. With an optimized mobile Web interface, users gain anywhere, anytime access to e-mail via iPhone, Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert) and other mobile devices; In addition, with integrated apps and synched email Zoho Mail includes Calendar, Tasks, Notes and Contacts apps. It also synchronizes with desktop e-mail clients via POP and IMAP and
Powerful Control Panel, so users can define e-mail policies, create and manage groups and group-related policies, set up customized e-mail addresses, and more.
