CompanionLink Software, a provider of data synchronization solutions for mobile phones and CRM software and services, is
offering complete wireless synchronization between Apple (News - Alert) iPhone and ACT! by Sage.
CompanionLink is currently the only solution for ACT! to iPhone sync that allows for two-way wireless transfer of contacts, activities, notes, histories and opportunities. Users are also able to link activities and notes to contacts for optimal organization of business data between ACT! and iPhone.
CompanionLink will synchronize the ACT! data with the phone or with other supported applications and web-based services, like Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook or Google.
In case of sync using the wired USB method, it requires to simply configure CompanionLink and attach the phone with the PC using the USB cable.
CompanionLink offers two ways to synchronize data between ACT! and iPhone (News - Alert), wired USB sync and wireless sync.
When user synchronizes using CompanionLink, the ACT! data will sync with the phone. CompanionLink provides a wireless sync service between ACT! and the phone. One can activate the service directly in the CompanionLink Pro software configuration settings.
Wired USB sync transfers contacts and calendar data between ACT! and iPhone using Outlook and iTunes. Wireless sync between ACT! and iPhone can be configured in one of two methods , sync via Google (News - Alert) or sync via CompanionLink's wireless sync service. Sync via Google requires a Google account to hold ACT! data, and the Google Sync service to transfer data over-the-air. Sync via CompanionLink's wireless service transfers data directly between ACT! and iPhone.
“CompanionLink lets business professionals include their iPhone as part of their business toolkit,” said Rushang Shah, director of Marketing for CompanionLink Software. “Professionals who rely on ACT! to manage their customers, schedules and notes need to be productive while they're away from the office. CompanionLink offers a transparent solution that fits their workflow.”
