Fujitsu-SAP Teams Up For Japanese Version of SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand

Fujitsu (News - Alert) Limited and SAP AG today announced they are jointly developing a Japanese-language version of the recently launched SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand solution, which will be made available to the Japanese market using the cloud environment of Fujitsu.

The two companies are engaged in developing Japanese version of SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand. SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand is a software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) business intelligence (BI) solution addressing the previously unmet market need for a single product that equips users with a complete, integrated BI toolset. SAP (News - Alert) started SaaS BI solution in 2006 and currently has more than 260,000 subscribers. With this solution, people can easily access all of their on-demand and on-premise data with little to no prior experience or training. Since SAP BusinessObjects Explorer software capabilities are included, users can quickly access and navigate business data from any source. The Japanese version of SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand is slotted for a release in the Japanese market in May 2010.

The new solution is going to introduce a new information-usage model in the cloud computing environment for the Japanese market.

The solution will enable customers to use on-demand offerings from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio. For this the clients won't have to build their own systems. Thus realizing comprehensive information usage will become quicker and more cost effective.

Additionally, in combination with other SaaS services, new forms of information usage in the cloud will be made possible.

The joint venture between the two companies is going to culminate into many more benefits - from dealing with changes in operating environments, timely management decisions and job-site operations, a hot topic surrounding information systems concerns information analysis and effective information usage, as well as internal and external information sharing. This has brought SaaS BI solutions into focus for the collection and analysis of various types of information, which can be put to practical use in all business phases from enterprise management to job-site operations.

SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand makes the most relevant product in the age of cloud computing.

In the cloud computing environment, requisite information resides not only on mission-critical systems but is dispersed across the cloud environment and individual computers. SaaS BI solutions enable users to collect this information - as well as combine, analyze and share it. This is how the solution helps companies achieve a new information-usage model.

The joint venture between SAP and Fujitsu for the development of Japanese-language version of the recently launched SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand solution is going to strengthen the business relationship that already exists between the two companies.
