In efforts to expand its customer base and increase system usability, California-based open-source VoIP consultancy company CallFire.com has announced a new promotion – or developer challenge – in which contestants can win a new Amazon Kindle.
For any hopefully winner, all a company, or individual, needs to do is developer a dating application using
any of CallFire’s application programming interfaces, or “APIs.”
TJ Thinakaran, vice president of Business Development, at CallFire, said that the dating application could be something as simple as creating a website, take telephone numbers, write a few lines of code to bridge them in a call.
“For example, if you want to get to people without revealing their identity, all your website would have to do is make these two calls, and before you know it, two possible love birds may be talking the night away,” Thinakaran said.
And, the possibilities of how to connect the potential daters using one of CallFire’s APIs are plentiful.
Ranging from using two telephones to a telephone and Google Voice or Google Chat, or even instant messaging or Skype (News - Alert), CallFire welcomes all forms of communication using a company API to connect individuals on this social landscape.
The rules and regulations of the contest will all be exhibited on the company’s Website. Additionally, Thinakaran also said that any potential contestant’s are encouraged to contact CallFire for any help, guidance and assistance on the contest project.
With applications
due Wednesday, Nov. 11, by 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, potential contestant’s have plenty of time to create a dynamic dating application that could win them an exceptional – and increasingly popular – virtual reader, and make some love matches in the meantime.
