Pactolus Communications (News - Alert) Software has introduced two new features and capabilities which would enable large-scale wireless, wireline and MSO providers to offer prepaid and postpaid services over existing VoBB services. This can be done with ease and economically, leading to higher revenues from next-generation networks.
The enhanced SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Service application makes the layering of high-margin “front-end” prepaid and postpaid services simple. Sipware is deployed on top of existing VoBB services, expanding the reach and potential revenue of those services.
SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services allow service providers to avoid economic, integration and architectural disruptions which would obstruct new service rollouts. It locates new service reach and potential subscriber base for prepaid and postpaid services along with the latest capabilities and support.
The Enhanced Matrix Rating manages the definition of rates based on variables in caller originations and destinations satisfying the needs of Tier 1 providers. The providers may have a broad subscriber base and global market calling patterns, which may not be pre-designed for the subscriber and provider.
The Callback Trigger Option is a capability through which callbacks can be triggered through dedicated access numbers to the application’s self-care web portal or API like in SMS-initiated.
The Post Paid (News - Alert) Integrated Long Distance Dialing allows subscribers to make calls for a specified duration when using the post-paid billing cycle. Inline Billing Capabilities enable transparent prepaid or postpaid metering and billing for ‘front ending’ preexisting Class 5 and SIP-based services.
These new capabilities augment the service provider deployment modalities of SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid Services. SIPware is known for its IP card-based long-distance calling service for subscriber service authentication. It uses IVR-based and ANI identification processes and for callback connection services.
Pactolus’ RapidFLEX Service Creation Environment (SCE), an object-based developer tool customizes SIPware prepaid and postpaid services easily for bringing down service creation cycle times and costs.
“These additions to SIPware Prepaid and Postpaid give Tier 1 and established providers new freedom and flexibility to expand their service mix economically, and more aggressively leverage their existing IP investments without cannibalizing existing revenue streams,” commented David Horton, Pactolus president, CTO, and founder.
Pactolus Communications Software develops service provider hosted SIP/IMS-based applications processing 3-4 billion Minutes of Use every month. The services offered are customized and they include residential/business Class 5 VoIP, large operator-assisted event and reservationless audio conferencing, prepaid/postpaid services and voice messaging.
