Time Warner Cable Launches VoiceZone on PC in North and South Carolina

By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor

Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable announced that it has launched VoiceZone on PC throughout the states of North Carolina and South Carolina in the United States. This will give access to controlling and monitoring digital home phone services from any computer through Internet.

VoiceZone on PC is a free Web portal for Time Warner Cable Digital Home Phone (News - Alert) customers which enables them to manage all Digital Home Phone features and voicemail features from anywhere and at anytime using MyServices.
VoiceZone on PC complements and extends existing Digital Home Phone features offered by the Time Warner Cable as it offers the ability to manage these features online from any computer.
According to Time Warner sources customers will be able to change call settings, set up caller ID, access voicemail, block unwanted calls and also set distinctive rings.
The features of VoiceZone include visual voicemail, which allows users to view a list of voicemail messages, listen to them on the computer, delete unwanted messages, send home voicemail messages to e-mail and save messages.
The Caller ID on PC allows a person to see the number of the person who is calling their Digital Home Phone on any computer with Internet access. Besides, the solution also includes features like selective call forward to redirect specific phone numbers to a different number and selective call blocking for rejecting calls based on a specific list of numbers.
Company sources added that the VoiceZone feature will be available to Time Warner Cable digital home phone customers at no extra charge and that it can be accessed through the "My Services" link.
TWC Visual Voicemail helps in viewing and managing messages, playing and deleting voicemails in any order, saving messages to the PC hard disc drive, and receiving e-mail message alert on receiving new voice mail messages.
It also helps receive an audio file sent as an attachment to an e-mail message when a new voice mail message arrives. Users can also forward voicemail via e-mail with VoiceZone. The selective call handling allows users to reject or forward calls based on a selected list of telephone numbers. The distinctive ring feature allows users to identify calls from a selected list of nearly 30 phone numbers each with a distinctive ring pattern.
Also the Caller ID on PC feature allows users to see who is calling via a caller ID alert each time they receive AIM messages on their PC. Even subscribers who presently do not have Voicemail in their Time Warner Cable Digital Home Phone service can still experience some benefits of VoiceZone on PC. They can manage Digital Home Phone features like call forwarding, distinctive ring and caller ID on PC.
