Eagle Teleconferencing: Answering to the Booming Telecommunications Market in Developing Countries

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

When it comes to the latest in telecom solutions and services businesses across the world, and of all sizes, have recognized new benefits. Small and medium-sized businesses have especially recognized benefit in the high quality and low cost of IP communications capabilities, and as a result, are increasing their spending on telecommunications equipment.

According to reports, one market in particular, the Asia-Pacific region, is especially increasing its expenditures, with $50 billion in spending predicted for 2007.
These findings, from AMI Partners, Inc. also noted that telecom spending will see significant increase as more and more PBXs are replaced by IP-PBXs and the push for unified communications takes over the marketplace-- leading to more justified spending on telecom services.
AMI's findings reveal that "developed markets such as Australia and South Korea, and fast-growing markets like India and China will account for more than 70 percent of the APeJ telecom spending this year."
Prasannavadan Gaitonde, Singapore-based analyst at AMI-Partners commented in a statement to the press, "SMBs in the Asia-Pacific will continue embracing new technologies to remain competitive. Telecom equipment vendors, operators and service providers need to offer products and services using the right model and price points to tap this growing market."
Conference call solutions provider, Eagle Teleconferencing, recognized this growth potential and has made their way into India to offer value-added services in the country.
Conference call capabilities, IVR, and voicemail are some of the capabilities customers in the region can enjoy thanks to Eagle's expanded connectivity and appealing offer.
"We see potential for large growth for teleconferencing in developing markets such as India, where we have a strong presence. The growth in India last year was 109%," explained Kent Charungundla, CEO and President of Eagle Teleconferencing.
