Conference phones and collaboration solutions provider Polycom (News - Alert) recently won three industry awards: a “best products” award from InfoWorld, a “best products”award from INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine and a “superior design” award from iF. The company was also recognized by VoIP
News for its industry leadership.
iF 2008 Product Design Awards
The Polycom KIRK 5020 wireless handset won an iF product design award. Designed for general office use, the KIRK 5020 has an intuitive user interface. The device utilizes the large color display with icons as well as text. Bestowed annually, the iF product design awards are considered the most highly regarded design honors worldwide. Judges pick winners from more than 2,500 entries representing over 1,000 companies in 35 countries across the globe.
The VoIP-News Top 20 VoIP Influencers for 2007
This award recognizes people who have been instrumental in transitioning the trend from VoIP-as-telephone-replacement to VoIP-as-enabler-of-business-processes. Owen Linderholm credited Robert Hagerty, Polycom chairman and CEO, as one of 20 such industry luminaries. Hagerty was been recognized for leading Polycom in its efforts to take "the phone quality of VoIP to an unprecedented level.
InfoWorld 2008 Technology of the Year Awards

INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine's 10th Annual Product of the Year Awards
