RedPrairie to Offer Pre-integrated Application Modules on NetSuite's SuiteCloud Platform

By Patrick Barnard, Senior Web Editor, TMCnet

CRM solutions provider NetSuite has announced that inventory, workforce management and transportation solutions provider RedPrairie Corporation will offer pre-integrated application modules on NetSuite’s (News - Alert) SuiteCloud platform.

The goal of this integration, said Jim Hoefflin, EVP of products and marketing at RedPrairie, is to provide “best-of-breed supply chain and store operations capabilities to mid-tier companies that have not been able to justify it through traditional deployment models.”

“While we have successfully delivered our solutions via hosted and SaaS (News - Alert) models for several years, we felt pre-integrated application modules on NetSuite’s SuiteCloud would provide further value for our customers,” Hoefflin said in a release.

RedPrairie’s solutions help companies operate their supply chains more efficiently – thus lowering operating costs while at the same time improving customer satisfaction. Workforce management helps ensure that warehouses and retail stores are staffed with the right number of people, with the right skills, based on forecasted volume and activity. The company’s warehouse management system, meanwhile, helps suppliers and manufacturers time and synchronize shipments and production based on demand. In addition the WMS helps retailers optimize inventory -- both in the warehouse and in store stockrooms -- thus solving the "last yard" problem of the retail supply chain. With RedPrarie’s WMS, retailers can keep just the right amount of inventory on hand to meet demand, while at the same time keeping inventory levels “lean and mean.”

Tom Kozenski, VP of product strategy at RedPrairie, pointed out that third party logistics companies can also leverage these pre-integrated solutions to improve their operations.

“The combination of NetSuite’s Cloud-based suite of applications with RedPrairie’s leading WMS and supply chain solutions is an industry game changer,” proclaimed Zach Nelson (News - Alert), CEO of NetSuite, in the release. “The effort also shows the strength of our SuiteCloud platform in enabling mission critical applications to leverage our infrastructure to meet the needs of customers around the world.”

RedPrairie has more than 20 global offices providing services to over 40,000 sites in 50 countries.

CRM solutions provider NetSuite made news last week when it introduced a new cloud-based business management suite for global services companies, NetSuite OneWorld Services Resource Planning (SRP).

NetSuite claims this new offering -- made possible through the integration of subsidiary OpenAir’s (which NetSuite acquired last year) cloud-based PSA (professional services automation) solutions with NetSuite’s cloud-based platform -- gives global services businesses comprehensive real-time visibility, integrated financials, resource optimization and services management from corporate, to subsidiaries, down to the individual project level across geographies, currencies, and tax jurisdictions.
