Web-based video conferencing and online collaboration solutions provider HearMe (News - Alert) today announced a partnership with Auric Technology (Auric) in a bid to integrate its desktop video conferencing into Auric’s new contact manager, OctopusCity.com, the companies said.
OctopusCity.com is the first contact management software of its kind allowing users to connect others through address books that automatically update when linked members change their contact data. OctopusCity.com, which can also synchronize with PDA’s, Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and many other email applications, is integrating with HearMe to provide customers with complementary communication tools.
Hannah Rothman, senior marketing director of HearMe, said the partnership allows HearMe to increase distribution to OctopusCity.com’s potential user base, offering them a cost-effective and flexible desktop video conferencing solution to communicate in real time.
"Additionally, OctopusCity.com provides our users with new contact management tools that we previously hadn’t offered. The partnership creates a strong platform that allows users of both companies to stay in touch," said Rothman.
HearMe’s Web-based video conferencing system is designed to empower small businesses, distance educators and mobile work forces to conduct meetings in real time at an affordable price.
Their solutions provide video/audio conferencing, desktop and application sharing, and online browser based meeting rooms. HearMe also has the most user-friendly interface and advanced video conferencing capabilities in the market. It allows an unlimited number of users to actively participate in a meeting.
