VoIP migration solutions provider Citel and hosted VoIP software maker Sylantro Systems today announced interoperability of two of their products.
Citel’s SIP Handset Gateway and Sylantro’s Synergy platform now officially play together.
In a press release, the two companies said that the combined solution “enables enterprise end users to obtain the next-generation features and applications of Sylantro's Synergy platform, while at the same time leveraging existing PBX handsets, wiring, and LAN infrastructure with Citel's SIP Handset Gateway.”
Citel’s vice president of marketing, Leigh Fatzinger, commented in a statement to the press that: “One of the primary inhibitors enterprises face when deploying VoIP is the cost of their existing PBX infrastructure.”
Fatzinger continued: “With Citel's SIP Handset Gateway, service providers have the ability to overcome this common objection and more quickly deploy Sylantro's robust Hosted PBX services and applications.”
