Yealink HD IP Phones Compatible with Elastix Technology

By Marisa Torrieri, TMCnet Editor

Elastix, a Latin American maker of appliance software that integrates tools for Asterisk (News - Alert)-based PBXs onto a single interface, and Yealink, an IP phone designer and manufacturer, announced today the two firms have completed interoperability testing between the Elastix (News - Alert) IP-PBX and the full range of Yealink SIP-T2x series HD IP phones.

Named for its “Elastix” appliance software, Elastix said it aims to integrate the best tools available for Asterisk-based PBXs onto a single, easy-to-use interface. It also adds its own set of utilities and allows for the creation of third-party modules for open-source telephony.

The Elastix-Yealink (News - Alert) partnership will ensure Elastix can easily deploy scalable IP-PBX solutions to the enterprise, according to a press release. Businesses can connect their distant branch locations, while maintaining all major PBX (News - Alert) features available at their corporate office. Business headquarters, branch offices, remote workers and home offices can benefit from feature-rich productivity suite including voicemail, multi-line conferencing, call forward and many other features.

Yealink said its portfolio helps guarantee that the end-user will have the most cost-effective, feature-rich solution in the market. Combined with Elastix’s IP-PBX, Yealink’s IP phones now have a rich feature set and extraordinary value to both consumers and corporate markets.

Equipped with the TI Titan chipset and TI Voice Engine, Yealink SIP-T2x series enterprise HD IP phones -- including SIP-T28P/SIP-T26P/SIP-T22P/SIP-T20P -- offer high-definition voice, plus a broad range of voice codecs, security protection for privacy and more.
