snom technology, a provider of IP phones and communications solutions, announced that snom 3xx series IP phones are now interoperable with BroadSoft’s (News - Alert) BroadWorks SIP interface.

Under this interoperability test, snom 3xx series IP desktop phones with firmware 8.7.3.5 are formally validated as SIP access devices for BroadWorks Release 18.SP1: snom 300, snom 320 and snom 370.

With this interoperability, customers who subscribe to the BroadSoft BroadWorks hosted VoIP service can benefit from the latest features and functionality when choosing snom 3xx series desktop telephones for their employees.

BroadWorks hosted VoIP platform delivers voice, video, fax and email communications to businesses and consumers worldwide.  

snom IP desk phones also add specialized integration for some of the BroadWorks’ features, including the ability to assign “Contact List Buddy” keys on the phones that are automatically populated and associated with entries in a contact list.

The IP phones from snom also improve call agent and phone provisioning support, allow the entry of OCI credentials using the phone user interface and support the BroadSoft AOC (Advice of Charge) feature, an advanced feature that informs a customer about charges incurred for telecommunications services.

snom 3xx series include the entry-level snom 300, snom 320 designed for office workers with high call volumes, snom 370 that features a built-in mini browser for Web-based applications such as custom contact center applications, phone directories and news postings on the phone screen. 

Recently snom technology announced it has won the 2012 Unified Communications TMC (News - Alert) Labs Innovation Award presented by TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.The award was given for snom UC edition portfolio for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync. The snom UC portfolio offers a mix of desk phones fully tested and qualified with Microsoft Lync.
