IP telephony solutions provider Eicon Networks announced Thursday the availability of free, 30-day trial downloads for its Diva Server SoftpIP v2.0-SIP development software.
The new version of Diva Server SofpIP is compatible with SIP (RFC 3261) for IP telephony, and T.38 for real-time, IP-based faxing.
In a press release, Eicon explained that the new product “is ideal for applications such as unified messaging, voicemail, fax and IVR servers which need to connect to IP PBXs.”
Diva Server SoftIP 2.0 offers the following advantages:
- Runs on both Intel (News - Alert) and AMD CPUs
- Provides 120 channels of high-speed fax
- Fax channels capable of using less than 10 percent of most CPUs
- Support for SIP, H.323, H.450, RTP and T.38 protocols
- Applications deployable in TDM or IP environments
- Flexible licensing system based on software activation keys
“Diva Server SoftIP enables rapid development, fast time-to-market and reduced costs for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and system integrators (SIs) delivering voice and unified communications software applications and solutions into a market migrating to IP,” Eicon said in the release.
Crucially for IP migration and TDM/IP hybrid configurations, users can combine any Diva Server telephony adapter with Diva Server SoftIP v2.0 to create a single system, Eicon’s director of product management, Franz-Josef Eberle, said in a statement.
“We have also made it very easy for ISVs and SIs to test their applications and instantly interface to IP PBXs by simply downloading a fully functional 30 day evaluation version from the Eicon website,” Eberle noted.
