In a recent announcement, Mediatrix Telecom, Inc., and pbxnsip launched a new IP-based PBX (News - Alert) solution designed for the small to medium-sized (SMB) market.
Specifically, Mediatrix’s newly-introduced 3000 series VoIP gateways and pbxnsip’s SIP-based IP PBX have been integrated to create a seamless, stand-alone solution for SMBs.
SMBs “will benefit from having a single cost-effective solution that will minimize the labor and expense requirements involved in implementing separate PBX and VoIP Gateway (News - Alert) devices,” the companies explained in a press release.
The new solution, which offers the user of both pbxnsip and Mediatrix interfaces, was designed to be easily configurable and highly customizable.
“Mediatrix has responded to the growing VoIP SMB marketplace by working with pbxnsip to deliver this fully integrated solution,” explained Philippe Babin, Director of Product Line Management for Mediatrix.
“With its All-In-One Convergence (News - Alert) Package, the 3000 Series is the perfect device for the VoIP migration from PBX to fully IP solutions,” said Mediatrix Director of Product Line Development, Philippe Babin, in a statement.
pbxnsip’s Vice President of Business Development, Kevin Moroz, noted that the integration announced is part of the company’s corporate strategy to meet the needs of both enterprises and service providers.
“We are a software based solution and OEM relationships with companies like Mediatrix are a perfect fit for both of our technologies,” Moroz said in a statement.
