New Edge Networks, the managed services business communications unit of EarthLink has announced a master agent agreement with Datatel Solutions, an Integrated Communications Provider (ICP).
J.R. Cook, vice president of Agent Channel at New Edge, said that Datatel has chosen to leverage the New Edge network and partner program to help facilitate their future growth, expand to reach new VARs, and open new business opportunities.
Thanks to the partnership with New Edge, Datatel and its solutions agents can now gain access to a fully managed nationwide multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network and multiple last mile offerings including ADSL, Cable, T1 and Ethernet over MPLS.
Additionally, through New Edge's recently announced AX Exchange, Datatel also adds the ability to deliver voice over Internet protocol and SIP-trunking across the MPLS network, providing its agents with access to an integrated solution across the entire country.
Datatel officials said that New Edge allows its agents to meet their customers where they are, with a network that can service 95 percent of business addresses in the U.S. and a product mix that will satisfy both the small business and large enterprise customer.
Jeffery Ponts, executive vice president at Datatel Solutions, said that the wide variety of product offerings gives the agents the flexibility they require to offer the best access types to meet their customers' specific needs. "Only New Edge can deliver this extensive of product mix over an MPLS network."
"Datatel's commitment to providing their partners a high level of support in identifying the best carriers makes them a perfect fit for New Edge," Cook said.
Earlier this year in April, New Edge Networks (News - Alert) announced that Broadsmart, an integrated communications provider, has established a direct connection to the New Edge AX, an ecosystem of business applications.
