SnapLogic Extends Open Source Data Integration Framework

By Arvind Arora, TMCnet Contributor

SnapLogic, a company engaged in the development of a range of comprehensive, flexible, and cost-effective solutions for data integration for organizations of all sizes, has announced the launch of Salesforce.com (News - Alert) Solution Pack, an extension to the SnapLogic open source data integration framework.

Integrating the simplicity of the Web with the Open Source development process, SnapLogic provides a building-block approach towards the development of solutions that enable interoperability and manageability, something that can't be achieved with commercial or hand-coded alternative.

With the help of the products and solutions developed by the company, the enterprises are capable of integrating data on both sides of the enterprise firewall, and also of creating custom integration solutions, including application integrations, enterprise mashups, and rich Internet applications (RIAs).

The new product by SnapLogic, Salesforce.com Solution Pack, ensures that enterprises are able to integrate Salesforce.com along with other Software-As-A-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) applications, behind-the-firewall enterprise applications, Web sites, and other data sources.

For the purpose of SaaS integration, SnapLogic had launched more solution packs before the Salesforec.com Solution Pack, and the company had lately announced more products with the name SugarCRM (News - Alert) Solution Pack, that are compatible with both standard SugarCRM deployments as well as Sugar On-Demand implementations.

Stephen O'Grady, principal analyst, RedMonk, commented that as Software-as-a-Service applications see increased mainstream adoption, the isolation of previously local data becomes a real concern, hence SnapLogic's Solution Packs are aimed at precisely that problem set, which is the challenge of blurring the lines of internal and external data.

Chris Marino, chief executive officer, SnapLogic, said that the company breaks down barriers to SaaS adoption and enables enterprises to realize the full value of their Salesforce.com investments.

Marino noted that solution packs introduced by the company for Salesforce.com and SugarCRM provide enterprises with the fastest and easiest way to integrate popular SaaS applications with other enterprise applications and data, on whichever side of the firewall they reside.

SnapLogic, has been active in development and enhancement of flexible and cheap solutions for data integration for organizations of various sizes and capacities. The company was founded in 2006 by the former CEO of Informatica and Mike Pittaro, Informatica’s director of customer services, both of whom had about 30 years of combined experience in developing enterprise-class integration solutions.

The company had launched its .org site and Beta version of the SnapLogic Data Integration Framework by mid 2007, and same year it contributed Open Source software to the Dojo Foundation. To know more about SnapLogic, please visit http://www.snaplogic.com.
