A new connector from MYCRM GMBH has been introduced that makes it possible for SugarCRM's software to integrate with Dimdim's Web conferencing platform so open source solutions are available during Web meetings.

The new connector is being offered by MYCRM, an open source and SaaS (News - Alert) system integrator, and allows enterprises to have CRM and enterprise Web conferencing at a much lower cost than proprietary offerings.
"We are delighted to be collaborating with MYCRM GMBH and Dimdim to provide our customers with the best open source solution for web meetings," said Paul Oh, vice president of technology alliances at SugarCRM (News - Alert). "Now our users have access to a seamless CRM and web conference solution that requires no software to download for attendees."
SugarCRM's Web-based customer interaction management platform, coupled with Dimdim's Web conferencing software, make it possible for users to have meetings with other users across the map while also recording activity and notes in their CRM app.

The connector also allows SugarCRM users to instantly start a Dimdim Web conference from within SugarCRM and with an enhanced version, it is possible to also change the Web conference settings or schedule sessions from the Sugar meeting module.
"Dimdim's open source and SaaS strategy continue to focus on democratizing Web conferencing with a platform that is easy to use, open and affordable for everyone," said DD Ganguly (News - Alert), CEO and co-founder of Dimdim.
"By integrating Dimdim with SugarCRM, we help provide customers with a seamless way to host Dimdim sessions and conduct CRM functions directly, without needless downloads."

The new connector is available to the SugarCRM and Dimdim communities at or from

SugarCRM also announced today a partnership with Tata Communications (News - Alert) to bring on-demand CRM to India.
As per the partnership, Tata Communications will offer SugarCRM's On-Demand CRM services to small, medium and large enterprises in the country and will manage the services out of its certified datacenters.
