It’s a digital era. As technologies are evolving, cloud-based solutions are being embraced by many enterprises in every industry. One among such services to work its way into the cloud is fax.
Document Capture Technologies (DCT), a provider of cloud-based document management and productivity solutions for small businesses, has rolled-out a new fax service to be included in the company’s SimpleScan Connect's suite of document management services.
With the new service, users will be able to send documents from a computer, tablet or smartphone with an Internet connection to any fax number.
SimpleScan is DCT’s suite of document management services that comprise personal and business data management tools, including hardware, Web services, and mobile apps.
Built on DCT's SimpleECM platform, the SimpleScan helps users easily and efficiently digitize paperwork and integrate content into business processes and Web-based services. This feature will help users store, organize, manage and share contacts, finances, documents, and media across major cloud services, including Box, Certify, Dropbox (News - Alert), Evernote, Expensify and Google Drive.
DCT's SimpleECM platform aims to helps original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), application developers, and systems integrators provide cloud service connectivity, capture solutions, and workflow logic in their products and services.
With the addition of its cloud-based faxing service feature, SimpleScan is able to transform any smart phone or desktop scanner into a virtual fax machine that transmits digitized documents to any fax number.
"Eliminate the time, cost and hassle of faxing documents on the go," said Karl Etzel, chief operating officier of Document Capture Technologies, in a statement. "The inclusion of fax in SimpleScan Connect's suite of document management services is one more way we enable small business productivity and efficiency, especially for those who send faxes infrequently."
